Armenia v Azerbaijan: UEFA cancels Euro-2008 qualifiers

“As no suitable compromise could be found between the two associations it was decided to cancel the two matches, namely Azerbaijan-Armenia scheduled for 8 September and Armenia-Azerbaijan schedule for 12 September, and to award both associations zero points for the matches,” the UEFA Executive Committee announced in a press release late today (June 23).

This is scandal that they will get away with this. Both countries should be banned for two years from all international games, it would quickly resolve this security problem. Recently Poland played two away games in a row, in Azerbaijan and Armenia. I was amazed reading report in Polish website that a plane with our team was the first one two fly from Baku directly to Yerevan since the collapse of the Soviet Union!! This was possible only because this was official plane of the Polish government. Other planes fly via Georgia.
